The idea with river is kinda cheap as for the rest - awesome.

Is the character facing me or am I seeing his back, because I am not sure.

It's facing you, but the pose is kind of confusing indeed, but i didn't have time to fix it :D. I'll do it better next time. ;)

Take away that raider, bird and miner and let viewer just enjoy the scenery.

Carriage is to sharp, its stands out too much. A small blur on lantern would be nice as well.

About the lantern:
- It's day. Why would the raider keep it on? <illogical>
- Let's say it's on anyway. If it's a day it wouldn't be so visible. Full saturation yellow could be used if it was a night.
