[Oni Yu Can Scare Them]

Let's start of with saying with this game is difficult.

The story and storyboards (both begining and end) are hilarious.

The game has plenty of elements all of which interract with one another. Sometimes however you lose control with each element you would like to interct - Kappa and well are in your area of interaction, you want to slap kappa but you can't because you still possesing that stupid well. I find it really funny that because of this creator always needs to place more than one tombstone. Btw I find Kappa to be useless(aside form killing kitsune).

The arcade graphic doesn't really work for me. Whenever I see something like this I consider it to be playing cheap on nostalgia.

Level design could use some work. I finished levels different way than creator intended by forceful sneaking instead of using smarts. Collision are sometimes broken I would fall from roof to my death instead of climbing.

Music is ok.

Overall: Somewhere between 3 and 3.5

Thanks for the review, and I hope it's not a getback XD Glad you enjoyed the story at the least. That, and seeing samurai running for the hills crying, make my day.

To clarify some matters:

1) I suppose putting a random tombstone in a level each time can be a bit annoying, and we did want to avert that. The first time we encounter a samurai, he's in a figurative graveyard of sorts. Yes, it makes the game laughably easy, but I think it's worth it. XD

2) I wouldn't really call the aesthetics "arcade"; we were going for a combination of MSX and ZX Spectrum. Squidly does these graphics in the vast majority of his games, and I thought I could just complement what he already does best. Second Wind, one of his best games, uses that aesthetic too, and I don't think it's playing it cheap. But each to their own, I suppose, no?

3) Acknowledged about the collision detection.

4) As for what the creators intend vs how you finished the game, that shouldn't really be an issue. Each person has his own way of finishing the game, and if you finish the game in a way that's not expected, if it's not a bug but a legit way of doing so, then you earn our respect! Just because I finish.... let's pick a game, Kingdom Hearts. Just because I finish Kingdom Hearts in a way that most people don't, in a way that the creators don't intend, doesn't make the game any less credible. You use forceful sneaking, others use head-on collision, and others still use smart techniques and think. And others prefer to jump over everything.

High on art. Controls works well. Sound is fine. I wish there was just more to this game, Aim or meaning for example.

The objective was to survive the human expansion, currently humans will slowly replace the slime's so eventually the only monster that will spawn are humans, though it has been pointed out that this isn't noticeable enough to threaten the player.

[Kingslayer]

Pros: Innovative idea. Idle quest meets RPG and not just in the name. Fun gameplay if you give it a try.

Cons:

Too slow progress. Killing 25 rats is seriously no fun(the whole idea with blessing is terrible).

You cnat see progress on your skill in invenotry (only your level). I'm mean you kinda can like 96 exp to next level. So am I nearly done or not, because 96 exps left to next level doesn't tell me much

In mining if I have high mining level why cant I get more pieces of ore from single stone?

Really ugly game. Only desciption says what is what.

rose petals + bottle = health potion. bottle + rose petals = error!

Fighting logic. My enemy is level 5 I have level 6 in combat and dagger. I still lose.

Small shop can't sell items for gold or use gold to buy items or materials.

Equiping is ba. No marker showing player that yes your weapon is equipped.

If you are too small on smithing you can't peek how better sword is from dagger. You cant therefore say is it worth to train smittinh or combat.

If you want to be better at minning you can usulally do two things in game : grind at minning(gaining talent exp) or get a better pick ax(money way). You cant buy new pick ax in this game.

A lot of missclicking.

There are probably more problems that I forgot to mention.

Overall:
This game has a future but creator needs to rethink basics of the game. What should leave in the game and what should stay. If it stays how can we make it more fun. It's probably one of the ugliest game in the world but give it a try because there is a potential in it.

About the blessing. Nobody's telling you to get one. Just avoid death and you'll be fine. Although eventually you will have enough bones to buy one anyway, just a bonus.

You can see the progress on each skill when you train them. An icon of the skill appears in the upper left corner with progress bars surrounding it, so you can see how much progress you've made percentage-wise. You can also go on the Stats tab and hover over the icon to see exactly how much EXP you need.

You can buy Water bottles and worms in the store. If you were able to buy all the other items/materials in the store, there would be NO POINT in doing anything else than fighting. You could just fight, get coins, buy what you need and repeat.

You can see what you're equipped with by looking on your character and the Character tab.

"You can't therefore say if it's worth to train smithing or combat" The game mainly revolves around training mining, combat and smithing. Considering if it's worth training those two skills is like considering playing the game. I don't really get the complaint about this one. And wouldn't it be obvious a sword is better than a dagger?

Sprites were drawn specifically for the game by artist i stayed in description, Everything else was captured from original game called S4 League( http://s4league.aeriagames.com/ ). I wasnt planning to make this game super fun and exciting, it was my first attempt at creating games. C:

While fruits, background and everything is on decent graphical level the sheep itself is painfully static. Why not make it happy like the ones super sheeps from 'worms' series because honestly this is the saddest rainbow farting sheep I have seen in my life.

we don't have a dedicated animator right now, so it's hard to go beyond the level of that rotating cannon at the start. Thanks for the tips, we'll try to cheep Loli (that's apparently her name) up!

Controls are bad, maybe not bad - not good enough (no mouse on screen).

You can easily push drills. You shouldnt be able to do that - game needs to rethink its physics and how items interact with each other.

It's pretty but it's not a eye candy.

Just another one of that small games from googleplay that bring nothing new.
